(Tentatively) “Aria in Flux”

The main writing project you’ll be hearing about for the foreseeable future is one I’m tentatively calling “Aria in Flux”. I plan for it to be the first in a series of four or five books. For the better part of this year, I’ve been working on the discovery draft and have moved on to the rough draft in the last few months. My hope is to have the rough draft finished by about May of next year. While that is out with a handful of beta readers, I’ll work on a different book.

I would like for these updates to be a way for you all to ask questions about my process – what does and doesn’t work for me. As well as, questions about the characters and story. For privacy reasons, I may not give very in-depth responses some of the time. Other times, I may dedicate a whole post to answering a specific question. To start you off, here is the synopsis:

Aria is forced to move in with her estranged grandfather after a tragedy in her hometown. A tragedy that left several people dead and Aria hospitalized for nearly a year. Her mom wants Aria to have a fresh start. Her grandfather wants her to heal. Her therapist wants her to open up about what happened. Aria just wants to avoid Bonding with anyone. A tall order when she starts at her new school, where she’s surrounded by people. Shifters and non-shifters, in equal measure.

Let me know what you think! I look forward to hearing your comments, questions, and constructive criticisms.
