TBR Tuesdays!

Is there anything quite as long as a bibliophile’s to-be-read list? I know for a fact I have at least a hundred unread books calling my name on a daily basis. (And those are just the physical ones sitting at home!) So, in a small effort to get myself reading some of those books, I want to start posting a list of to-be-read books on the first Tuesday of each month. These lists will be anywhere from three to five books, as that is the most likely amount I can get through in a month. That being said, here is my TBR list for December…

  • “Extinction” by Douglas Preston
  • “Do Unto Animals: A Friendly Guide to How Animals Live, and How We Can Make Their Lives Better” by Tracey Stewart
  • “The Spiderwick Chronicles: The Field Guide” by Tony DiTerlizzi and Holly Black
  • “The Spiderwick Chronicles: The Seeing Stone” by Tony DiTerlizzi and Holly Black
  • “A Merry Little Meet Cute” by Julie Murphy and Sierra Simone

I am most excited for “A Merry Little Meet Cute” as I strongly identify as a hopeless romantic, though certainly cringe away from the more graphic romance novel scene. I’m optimistic about all my other picks for this month, though a bit apprehensive about “Extinction”, as I’ve never cared much for crime novels. They can often be too predictable and the characters very stereotypical and flat, in my opinion. I’m hoping the sci-fi element of “Extinction” will make it more appealing.
